Moonlight mischief
Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Tommy who lived on the moon. Tommy was a curious boy with a big smile and a spacesuit that was always a bit too big for him. He loved looking at the bright blue Earth far away and the twinkling stars around him. The moon was a quiet place, with grey ground and big jumps because there was less gravity. Tommy had a friend, a small moon buggy named Beep. Beep could talk and loved to zoom around the moon’s surface. One day, Tommy noticed that some of the stars seemed dimmer than usual. He wondered why and decided to find out. This was the start of a little adventure on the moon, where the ground was dusty and the sky was always dark, but filled with stars.
Starry quest
Tommy and Beep set off to find out why the stars were dimming. They drove over craters and mountains, all made of grey moon rock. Every time they reached a new place, Tommy would get out, plant a little flag, and say, “This is for the Earth!” Beep would beep happily each time. They did this many times, and it became a fun game. As they travelled, Tommy noticed that the stars looked brighter when they were on top of the mountains. “Beep, the stars are shy today. They hide behind the dust!” Tommy guessed. Beep beeped in agreement. They decided to clean some of the moon dust that was floating around, thinking it might be making the stars look dim. This task made Tommy feel important and happy, like a real space hero.
The brightening
As Tommy and Beep cleaned the dust, something wonderful happened. The stars began to shine brighter. Tommy was excited. “Look, Beep! Our cleaning is helping!” he shouted with glee. They worked harder, scooping up dust and putting it in little bags to keep the sky clear. After a lot of cleaning, they climbed the highest mountain to see better. From there, Tommy looked up and saw that the stars were twinkling like never before. “We did it, Beep! We made the stars happy!” Tommy felt proud and couldn’t stop smiling. He had solved the mystery of the dim stars and made the moon a better place for star gazing.
Moonlit goodnight
After their big adventure, Tommy and Beep went back to their cosy little moon house. Tommy put up pictures of the bright stars and the Earth he had taken from the mountain top. He remembered how the stars twinkled brighter after he cleaned the dust. “Beep, we learned that keeping our space clean helps everyone see better,” Tommy said as he got ready for bed. Beep beeped softly, agreeing with Tommy. That night, Tommy fell asleep quickly, dreaming of stars and space adventures. He knew the moon was a special place and felt happy to call it home.
